What this service is
JALM Permit Platform documents existing properties: it captures visual evidence and measurements, organizes them into a verifiable project record, and produces technical documentation — drawings in PDF, DXF and DWG — for review and permit preparation.
What this service is NOT
This is the most important section on this page. Please read it carefully.
- It does not replace an architect or an engineer. JALM documents what exists; it does not design structures or certify calculations.
- It is not a municipal approval. Nothing we deliver means the authority having jurisdiction has approved anything.
- It carries no professional seal or signature unless that is separately contracted and signed by a licensed professional.
- It does not guarantee that your permit will be issued. That decision belongs to the city.
The measurements are yours
The scale of a survey is calculated from the physical measurements you take and enter. We compute the scale factor and show you the deviation, but we do not verify in the field that those measurements are correct unless you hire a JALM site visit. A document produced from wrong measurements will be a wrong document.
Automated recognition
When automated recognition of building systems is used, its results enter the record pending review, with their confidence level visible. Automation does not approve, does not determine code compliance, and does not infer what it cannot see. A person reviews before anything is treated as settled.
Payments
The price of each job is agreed in a quote. Typically a deposit is charged to begin and the balance before final files are delivered. Payments are processed by Stripe. Clean, downloadable documents are unlocked once payment is confirmed.
Your content
The photographs, measurements and data you upload remain yours. You grant us the permission we need to process them and produce your documentation. You represent that you are authorized to document the property you survey.
Acceptable use
You may not use the platform to document properties without authorization, attempt to access other organizations’ projects, or circumvent payment or download controls.
Liability
The service is provided with professional diligence, but the final decision on whether the documentation is sufficient for a specific permit belongs to the authority having jurisdiction and to the professionals who sign it. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the work in question.
Changes and governing law
If we change these terms substantially we will change their version and ask you to accept them again. They are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
